This Belle-Epoque villa set in a three-acre park has every modern
amenity, including Internet access and e-mail modems. Built as the
residence of a Russian prince, it has only eight rooms and is just a
five-minute walk from the Hotel Negresco.
One of the best values in Nice. Guests of this hotel can use the pool
sauna and other facilities at the Splendid, next door. For the money,
the Gounod is attractive and nicely-located.
A former prison carved from a seaside cliff, La Perouse has the best
views around. The hotel lobby is reached by an elevator.
Once the villa of the Belgian author, Palais Maeterlinck occupies nine
secluded acres outside of town. The rooms are luxurious, but it's the
grounds and terraces surrounding the pool and the ocean views that
really distinguish the intimate hotel .
This trendy post-modern fantasy is not for everyone. Check their web
site before staying here. But it is stylish, well-located,
and a good value.
