The Hotel des Rohan offers a terrific location and very good value for money in
Strasbourg. It’s on a pedestrian street around the corner from the Cathedral, walking
distance to shops, restaurants, and most of the city’s attractions. The rooms are nicely
decorated and furnished with mini-bars, though some are on the smallish side. Guests
have free Internet access.
Located on the bank of the Ill River in a former ice factory, Le Regent Petite France
opened in 1992. It’s modern and stylish. Service is first rate. And the "Petite France"
location is walking distance to Strasbourg’s most charming shops and restaurants. For
those who don’t mind spending $200+ a night, this is the place. Many
will find the modern decor a breath of fresh air in quaint Alsace.
Located in a 17th-century building a brief stroll from the Cathedral, the Hotel Beaucour
is one of the best choices in Strasbourg. Service is well above average. Timbered
ceilings and other historic elements are nicely balanced with modern amenities. The
bathrooms are especially nice. The owners also own some of the better restaurants in
town, including Miason Kammerzell. For location, quality, and value, Hotel Beaucour is
hard to beat.
