Lately, my email inbox is filled with offers on European River Cruises. And some of them are pretty hard to pass up.
If you’ve never taken a river cruise, you should consider one. You usually spend some time each day exploring one of Europe’s charming towns or villages, and then spend a few hours cruising one of the Continent’s great rivers, like the Rhine or the Danube. The scenery is great – and so close you can almost touch it – the food is first-rate, and since most river boats carry fewer than 200 passengers, the experience is much more intimate than an ocean cruise.

Taronga Zoo -- also one of the most unique places to stay in Sydney.
We rarely visit zoos. Much less sleep at them.
